IV Classical and Period Boats of Spain Championship
Last Thursday, 15th of April, the IV Classical and Period Boats of Spain Championship began. This competition was organised by the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation and the Royal National Association of Cruise Ships (RANC), with the collaboration of the Royal Nautical Club of Barcelona (RCNB), and the Catalan and Balearic sailing federations, amongst others.
The classic competition will be held until Sunday 18th, but will be followed, during the months of July and August 2010, by the Puig Classic Sailing Regatta (from 14th to 17th of July in Barcelona), and the Almirante Conde Cup of Barcelona (from 16th to 22nd of August in Palma)
Classic and period boats can participate in these competitions.
- Boats launched between January 1950 and December 1974 are considered Classic.
- Wood or steel vessels launched up to 31st December of 1949 are considered to be Period.
